"I first saw an article on the Fylde Coast BSL Centre in the Gazette last year, and straight
away I phoned the number to enquire, and spoke to a lovely lady called Kayla, who told me
all about what they were doing there.
I registered there and then for the Foundation Course starting in 3 weeks,
and am so glad that I did!!
I went along with my hubby Graham, and we were made to feel so welcome by everyone.
I have now just completed Level 1 and am ready to begin Level 2.
Jan is an excellent teacher, and Kayla, Jan's Support Worker, is always on hand to help.
Both of them offer help when you need it, over and above what you get at any other college.
I can't thank you both enough for open up another world to us.
I had wanted to learn sign language for many years, especially now that it could be
relevant in my job, and this is definitely the place to learn it.
It's just like home from home when you go to the centre. Everyone is ready to
help you, not just the tutors but the learners as well and we have made many new friends
there.
If your thinking about learning sign language, this is the place to learn!!!!

to expect at Level 2. You were very helpful to all students and aware if someone was
struggling. Excellent information sheets coupled with the lessons...students were encouraged
to mix and practise their skills."

"I thoroughly enjoyed The Fylde Coast BSL Centre’s Level 1 BSL course.
Jan is a most understanding & helpful teacher. I couldn’t have asked for more from a
teacher. The lessons are very informative & Jan makes the lessons fun, so apart from
learning it’s enjoyable to do so. The 3 hour lessons we had flew by because of Jan’s
teaching style that makes learning fun!
Kayla & Jan’s support made me feel at ease & confident. I will be back for Level 2.
I cannot recommend Jan’s BSL Classes enough. I will definitely tell everyone to go to
Jan to learn BSL!!"
