Hello my name is Kelly Erdbeer. I’m 25 years of age and was born in the Isle of Man. I moved to Blackpool in 2005 when I started work for Kayla at States Barber Shop. I met Jan 3 and half years ago but found it hard to communicate with her. I had always wanted to learn a new language but having always struggled in learning written topics, Jan asked if I would learn her language as it was purely visual. She pointed me in the right direction and I now have my BSL Level One and Two and have not long passed my Pre Level Three. I recently had an interview for Level Three at The Fylde Coast BSL Centre and I am very excited to learn I have been accepted.

I started working for Jan as a volunteer to help teach Foundation as a stand in for tutors on holiday or due to illness and now teach Foundation and support Jan on Level One unit 101, helping students move from using voices to just using BSL! I am enjoying working for the centre and helping the centre to grow.
