Details
Originally from Preston, Janice founded the Fylde Coast BSL Centre in 2007. It immediately appealed to the locality and surrounding areas and has been a very successful business in the relative short time of existence. Before commencing at the Centre, Janice, whose natural first language is BSL, has been teaching in a number of establishments, including Universities in the North West and in London. Hoping soon to be a qualified Signature (CACDP) external assessor, she currently runs Foundation courses in BSL, including Signature (CACDP) levels 1 to 3. Level 4 will be introduced September 2010. Janice has completed BSL Level 4 N.V.Q. (City College Manchester). Jan is also a member of 'Institute of Learning' as well as being a commitee member for DeafPlanet, Liverpool.
