Our Pre-Level 2 course is designed as a bridging course from Level 1 Award in British Sign Language to Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language as there is a huge gap found between these two courses of study. For those who wish to gain a higher standard in BSL at Level 2, attendance is strongly recommended.

Pre-Level 2 prepares learners for entry to the full Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language course that is also offered at the centre. Guidance and advice is given on the Level 2 course specification as well as teaching language skills which will help improve learners knowledge to a higher standard ready for the full course.

Vocabulary will be taught at level 2 standards and appropriate terminology will be discussed, giving learners an insight in to assessment areas (of which there are 3) along with practice and recaps of Level 1 vocabulary. Regular feedback will be given in both written and signed form so that learners can understand where and how to improve.

On completion of this course, a certificate of attendance is given.
